We are a friendly, welcoming, happy and well established nursery committed to providing both a high quality standard of care and an excellent enabling learning experience for children aged 2½ to 5 years in a caring, safe, well structured environment of equal opportunities.
Our well qualified team of highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced staff have enjoyed working together as a team for some years, and provide a well balanced programme of learning experiences and fun activities within a carefully planned curriculum which covers fully the six areas of learning, and the statutory levels of care required for children in the early year’s foundation stage of development (EYFS).
Children develop and learn in different ways and at different rates, and all areas of learning and development are equally important to us and interconnected. Our children are all unique; they are respected and cherished as individuals, and therefore receive personalised attention to all of their developmental needs.
We believe in continuity of care for the children entrusted to us and friendly, discreet communication between home and school. We enjoy working in partnership with our parents to provide this. Mrs Freemantle and other key members of staff are therefore present in the nursery at all times during our opening hours. This, we believe, provides the children with the all important feeling of secure continuity and also parents, carers, ongoing schools, and any outside organisation connected to the well being of any child, with convenient access to good communication between us.
We offer small groups and a high staff/ child ratio: careful planning, observation and monitoring by experienced, caring staff: a programme which combines the opportunity to experience many new learning opportunities and activities within a creative, well structured, safe and caring environment. Together these ensure that each child leaves us with maximum confidence in his or her own personal achievements which in turn leads to a smooth transition into reception classes. Our children leave us to attend a variety of local schools, and we maintain a very close working relationship with all of them.
It is our policy to include both the inside and outside areas in our programme of learning experiences and activities within the Nursery, and therefore our single storey, bright, well lit building also benefits from its own safely enclosed all weather outdoor play and garden area.
As members of Surrey Early Years Childcare Partnership we are registered to receive Government funding and are therefore inspected by Ofsted. Click here to see our latest report (July 2011) – ’Outstanding’ in all areas.
The Nursery is open five mornings per week during term time from 8:50-12:00am, and three afternoons a week (Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday) from 12:30-3:00pm.
You are most welcome to visit the Nursery. Please contact Mrs Freemantle if you would like to make an appointment to view.
We look forward to meeting you!
